The mysterious couple
english/german
You got to love the EXPRESS.
While the rest of the media turns the statement of Hamish Campbell that there is still a "good number of people to be quizzed" into a mathematical exercise with the help of CM spin - 20..12..9..5... persons of interest/suspects - the EXPRESS hides very important information behind a rather ludicrous statement about a couple that allegedly entered Maddie's apartment on May 2nd.
The important information is that Scotland Yard interviewed a couple that owns the apartment above Mrs Fenn, who died in March 2011. The couple were interviewed in August 2007 by the BBC but apparently not by the Portuguese police. The important part of their statement is the fact that they passed the entrance of the Tapas Bar on May 3rd shortly after 9:00 pm and that the woman, Mrs. Moyes, was having a drink on the balcony at 9:15 without having noticed anybody in the street where Jane Tanner allegedly saw bundleman abducting Madeleine. Not Jane, not Gerry, not Jez and certainly not bundleman.
The Moyes had arrived in Praia da Luz only a day before the "abduction" on May 2nd and since Mrs. Fenn had been out that evening, might be the only witnesses for another crying episode as described by Mrs. Fenn for May 1st. There is danger in numbers. One dead witness does not count much, but three witnesses confirming the so called "child-care-arrangements" of the Tapas Group have to be taken seriously.
And up pops a mysterious couple that was seen entering the apartment to sooth and comfort the crying Madeleine. Most probably a couple living close to hear the ongoing screaming and who might have noticed the open patio door. And who is the source for this surprising, never-heard-before piece of evidence? A SOURCE
..........
The Express sister paper Daily Star today sums up the whole circus quite nicely:
Good luck with that

BRING THEM ALL BACK TO PORTUGAL!
Nothing more - nothing less
The demand of the person most affected by the McCann circus apart from their daughter, expresses our deepest wish. Almost successfully being made a patsy by four of the Tapas 7, Mr. Murat offers the only relevant words at the anniversary of her disappearance. A reconstruction is the way to go. And he would gladly play a part in it. So strange that Scotland Yard never thought of that...
http://www.express.co.uk/news/uk/397244/Madeleine-world-exclusive-Bring-them-all-back-to-Portugal
ROBERT MURAT today appeals for Scotland Yard to stage a filmed reconstruction of all the events surrounding the disappearance of Madeleine McCann.
By: James Murray
Robert Murat was cleared as a suspect long ago
Marking the sixth anniversary of her abduction, the Algarve-based businessman says a 48-hour timeline would help police conducting a £4.5million review of the case.
Mr Murat, who was cleared as a suspect, said: “They need to start from the beginning.” So far the two-year review by more than 20 detectives in London has not led to a breakthrough.
Portugal’s authorities have not been persuaded to reopen the investigation, although Policia Judiciaria policewoman Helena Monteiro liaises regularly with officers from the Yard’s Operation Grange.
Mr Murat, 39, spoke to the Sunday Express while sipping tea in Casa Liliana, his elderly mother Jenny’s villa 150 yards from apartment 5a of the Ocean Club where Madeleine vanished.He said: “They need to speak to everybody, including myself, and they need to get the Portuguese involved in a much more constructive way.“To get somewhere now they need to have a joint team working here together in Praia da Luz. This is where it happened. It didn’t happen in England.“The reconstruction should cover the critical period just before and after the abduction.”Madeleine was three when she disappeared from the apartment at about 9.15pm while her parents Kate and Gerry McCann and seven friends ate at a tapas bar nearby. When the Judiciaria named the McCanns as suspects, they and their friends chose not to take part in a PJ-led reconstruction. It would be different now that they have been cleared, said Mr Murat.He said: “A reconstruction is a real necessity. I am sure it would fill in some of the missing pieces of the jigsaw. Even now after all this time, the timeline is still confused.”Thirteen days after Madeleine’s disappearance Mr Murat was named as a suspect. His mother’s home, where he lived then, was searched, his computers were taken, he was questioned for 19 hours by Portuguese police and his property business was wrecked.His eagerness to help with the original investigation, helping police with translations, aroused a journalist’s suspicions. Three of the McCanns’ friends believed they saw him on the night Madeleine vanished but his mother confirmed to police he was with her all night at Casa Liliana.After being cleared as a suspect in July 2008 he won substantial damages from newspapers.Despite his ordeal he believes Madeleine’s fate should be uppermost in everybody’s minds as another anniversary passes.He said: “You cannot lose sight of the fact that a child was taken and we need to know what happened to her.”He is still willing to be interviewed by the review team, which has made no effort to contact him. “I have no problem with that whatsoever,” he said emphatically.“I am available to help on the proper legal basis. I think everybody who was around at that time, holidaymakers and people at the Ocean Club, should be interviewed again. The timeline needs to be made crystal clear because there is still so much confusion, such a mess.” Asked if he thought Madeleine’s fate would ever be known, he brushed back his thick dark brown hair, rubbed his tanned chin and said: “I hope so, I believe it will come out one day.” He said Portugal’s financial crisis means “if the British do want to get to the bottom of this, it is a case of funding the Portuguese”.Mr Murat, who grew up in Devon and Portugal, now has a young family with wife Michaela. They were both victims of the relentless media frenzy when Madeleine vanished and it has left its scars. For the first time during the interview he became emotional and said in a whisper: “There is no way to describe the impact this has had on our lives. Six years later it still affects me. I wasn’t able to do much for years and years.“It was difficult getting back on the horse, so to speak, and do the stuff I was doing before.”His property business went, partly because his computers were held by the PJ for so long, but now he has built up Newteq, an Apple-authorised service provider on the Algarve. He said he and Michaela live a quiet life, staying away from some events because people still come up to him and say: “You’re that Mr Murat.”Before 2007 he says he was one of those people who was always eager to help others, to get involved in the community. Now he is more guarded.When the original police investigation was at its height, he bumped into a British man, Steve Carpenter, who persuaded him to meet the McCanns because they needed his language skills. He said: “I met Gerry and said: ‘I don’t know what to say, there is nothing I can say but I do speak Portuguese and English and I will help in any way I can’.”He helped Portugal’s GNR military officers to search the Ocean Club apartments and translated statements from key witnesses, giving him a unique inside perspective on the case.He said: “From the experiences of the interviews there are some points that could be looked at.“There needs to be much more transparency, much more openness to dissipate a lot of the stuff that has been talked about on the internet and on blogs.”He does not believe the results of the Yard’s work should be made available to the public.“The Yard needs to get together with the Portuguese police and produce a final report,” he said. “They need to sit down together and come up with a final version, a structured report.“The report should be done by the Portuguese with the support of the British.”Last week Prime Minister David Cameron had a private meeting with the McCanns in London, promising them the review would not fall foul of budget cuts and giving them enough confidence to say on their website that they hope for a significant breakthrough in the months ahead.On Friday night Kate and Gerry, both 45, gathered around a candle which burns night and day for Madeleine outside their home village of Rothley, Leicestershire. A 50-strong crowd supported them as they marked the anniversary with prayers with Madeleine’s siblings, eight-year-old twins Sean and Amelie.Mr Murat said: “It must be a tremendously difficult time of year for them and of course as a human being you feel for them and for the loss of their daughter.“At this time of year, like so many people on the Algarve, we have been thinking about this poor girl.“I just hope in the months ahead the PJ are fully involved because in my view that is the best way of solving the mystery.”At St Vincent’s church in Praia da Luz, where Kate and Gerry went regularly, worshippers also prayed for Madeleine, whose 10th birthday is on May 12.Clarence Mitchell, the McCanns’ spokesman, declined to comment on Mr Murat’s views last night, saying the couple were happy with how Scotland Yard is conducting the review.
Good on you Mr. Murat and good on you Express.

Verwirrspiel

Keine Beweise!!

Was ich damit sagen will?

Angeklagte
Der Prozess findet im 1. Gerichtsbezirk des Zivilgerichts in Lissabon statt. Madeleine McCanns Eltern fordern 1,2 Millionen Euro wegen angeblicher Verleumdung.
in: TVmais, 24.01.2013
JP - Also was denken Sie?

The libel case brought by Mr and Mrs McCann against Snr Amaral for libel has, it seems, stirred all of his supporters on the internet into something of a frenzy of anticipation. They seem to look forward, with ill-concealed glee, to certain imaginary aspects of the case being revealed in the British press that they mistakenly believe the couple would rather not be made public. It is, naturally, total nonsense. There are no skeletons in the McCanns’ closet waiting to fall, because they have acted with complete dignity and grace from the beginning, and have been completely truthful from day one. If they had not, who in their right minds would think their solicitor would allow them to put themselves in such an exposed position in the first place?

Brazil, Ibiza, Whatever....
The Express and his James Murray impressed yesterday with yet another marvellous piece of investigative journalism.
Today Reggie Dunlop, a man living his dreams, did an even more investigative research than the great James Murray and unveiled the above mentioned photograph and the corresponding article:

DETECTIVES have been given a photo which appears to show Madeleine McCann with an abductor.
The Sunday Express was passed the picture independently but Scotland Yard appealed to us not to publish it while it continues sensitive global investigations into the missing girl.Officers were happy for us to describe the potentially key evidence which shows a healthy fair-haired girl aged three or four in pink trousers, a green top and a blue hat.The child is walking along a road, possibly near a port or airport as there are many people with suitcases in the area. It is sunny with a palm tree in the background.
This is a matter for Scotland Yard and I am sure they will get to the bottom of it. Kate and Gerry have confidence in Operation Grange.![]()
Clarence Mitchell, spokesman for the McCanns
The photograph was allegedly taken in Brazil in June 2007, a month after Madeleine, three, was snatched from a holiday apartment in Praia da Luz on Portugal’s Algarve coast.The girl is holding the hand of a swarthy foreign-looking man aged about 50 with long dark hair and a beard. He is wearing cut-off jeans and a green T-shirt.Nearby, another man in checked shorts and a black T-shirt is pulling a red suitcase. There is no sign of a woman and the child looks out of place with the older men.If the picture is genuine, it would be the biggest breakthrough in the case to date.A Portuguese speaking man living in Brazil forwarded the photo to a detective on Operation Grange, the Yard squad trying to find Madeleine by reviewing thousands of documents.
..........
The Yard may send the picture to FBI imaging experts in America for an opinion.
This week the Yard is expected to ask detectives in Brazil to interview the man before considering whether to fly him to London.

10 September 2007
(Processo: VOL ,X, p. 2587-2602)
.....
A) Die minderjährige Madeleine McCann starb im Apartment 5A des Ocean Club Resort in der Nacht vom 3. Mai 2007;
B) Eine Entführung wurde vorgetäuscht;
C) Um zu vermeiden, dass der Tod [Alarm] der Minderjährigen vor 22:00 Uhr bekannt wurde, wurde eine Überwachungssituation der Kinder durch die McCanns erzeugt, während die Kinder schliefen;
D) Gerald McCann und Kate McCann sind am Verbergen der Leiche ihres Kindes Madeleine McCann beteiligt;
E) Im Moment, scheint es keine starken Indizien zu geben, dass der Tod der Minderjährigen nicht durch einen tragischen Unfall erfolgte;
1. Appartement 5 A, Ocean Club Resort, der Ort von dem das Kind verschwand
1.1. Leichenspürhund
• Elternschlafzimmer, in einer Ecke, vor dem Kleiderschrank
• Wohnzimmer, hinter dem Sofa, am seitlichen Fenster
1.2. Bluthund:
• Wohnzimmer hinter dem Sofa, in der Nähe des seitlichen Fensters (an gleicher Stelle wie der Leichenspürhund);
2. Garten vor der Wohnung 5A
5. In Aldeia da Luz
• Es wurde NICHTS von den Hunden entdeckt6. Kleidung und Gegenstände der Familie McCann

Geändert: I collected E*** from the Ocean Club before she went up to tea at the Tapas Bar, I cannot say whether Madeleine was there or not.

One of the changes in Russell's statement deserves special attention in my opinion:
Original: The Nannies had brought the children up for readiness for tea, I can’t say if I saw Madeleine when E came back’
Geändert: I collected E*** from the Ocean Club before she went up to tea at the Tapas Bar, I cannot say whether Madeleine was there or not.
In his first statement he describes how the nannies brought the children, including his daughter Exxx, from the kid's club to the Tapas restaurant in the afternoon of May 3rd. This usually happened around 16:45 followed by the children's dinner in the Tapas between 17:00 and 17:30. In this first statement his focus is to explain that he did not see Madeleine when the children were brought back. In doing so he "forgets" that according to their original statements he had never been there. All previous statements claim that he had already collected Exxx before the children had left the children's club and that she therefore did NOT take part at the children's dinner.
Unfortunately though while depicting the afternoon he had claimed that he only arrived back at the beach from his sailing trip at 16:30 and then had gone for a swim in the ocean. Almost impossible for him to have collected Exxx before 16:45 from the kid's club.
The alibi for the afternoon consists partly in the recording of the CCTV camera in the Paraiso beach restaurant where the whole group apart from the McCanns had drinks together and served their children dinner. But as can be seen from the recordings, Russell is seen for the first time at 17:52 in this restaurant.
How much more likely is the assumption that he actually did take part in the children's dinner at the Tapas restaurant together with Kate the twins and Exxx? That when they left the Tapas reception around 17:30 'Madeleine' was signed out on the creche list of the kid's club, while Exxx's entry stayed empty and was later filled out by the nanny? The cook later remembered the nice family with the twins and the older daughter. Exxx resembled Madeleine most from all the other kids, same age and height. Was this the reason for the protest when the receptionist stated that Russell O'Brien together with Madeleine had booked the Tapas table? Because in fact it had been Russell with Exxx and the similarity had to be covered-up?
In any case Russell had enough time to arrive at the Paraiso between 17:30 and 17:52 in front of the CCTV camera. And possibly had a little dance with Exxx on his shoulders as wrongly attributed to Gerry by the owner of the restaurant when he sold this story to the media. This was already the third mix-up between the two girls.
This is a theory that results from the discrepancies and changes in the statement and that tries to interpret these. Had there not been such extensive discrepancies and changes there would be no necessity to try and explain them.

Celebrations
english/deutsch
This month sees the
celebration of a Saint's day on November 25th. In France and other
countries it is a custom to wear yellow-green ribbons in honor of the
Saint. Yellow-green as in the wristbands that have so successfully
been sold in a certain online shop to commemorate the disappearance
of a little girl five years ago.
I am going to do a little
online survey about what Saint you think is honored by wearing
yellow-green ribbons:
A Saint Madeleine
B Saint Catherine
your answers via twitter
please, if it is still a surprise for you.

Feierlichkeiten
In diesem Monat wird am
A Heilige Madeleine
B Heilige Katharina

Dogs don't lie..... in Wales
Apparently they only lied in Portugal.
Btw: Why is April Jones declared as having been murdered after 5 days yet Madeleine McCann is still "alive and findable" after 5 years, despite the overwhelming evidence of the cadaver dogs finding scent at 9 different places/items?

The Gaspar Scare
![]() |
| The only mention of the Gaspar Statement in the media |
I was always undecided about whether it was genuine concern of a friend of Kate's or an attempt to get David Payne in line with the cover-up. Now if we look at the timeline we first noticed the quite long delay for Katharina Gaspar to decide going to the police. Almost two weeks in the case of a missing child seems a long time but was explained by the fact that she did not know until then that DP had been on the trip as well. Nevertheless, if we consider the described incident properly, Gerry McCann was as much part of the scenario as DP and therefore it should not have mattered to her much if DP was with them on holiday or not. Gerry's reaction to the alleged Payne incident would have warranted the same concerns even if he had been alone in PdL. Just remember how very cleverly DP had always been brought into the focus of the Gaspar statement and not so much Gerry, even from us...
Now if we look at the date Katharina finally dragged herself to the police station we see that it was the 16th May, exactly one day after Robert Murat was pictured on every paper in Britain as the most probable perpetrator.
If you are considering going to the police in a case you are not sure about, waiting 13 days until you muster up the courage, would you not hold back a couple of days more when you find out that they found the alleged abductor not connected to your suspicion at all? You would save yourself the trouble of a false accusation if he turned out the one who had taken Maddie.
Or did it rather take 6 days of organising and convincing of the Gaspars to get them to the police station after the botched 2nd questioning on May 10th of Gerry McCann at the police station where he felt the need to throw in David Payne with two concocted sightings of Madeleine, one during Wednesday night (!) and one on Thursday around 18:30. IMO two sightings he just made up during the interview because he had been pushed into a corner or felt the need to confirm Maddie's presence at those two points in time.
Imagine David's reaction when he told him about it, he might not have been amused...
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Freitag, 20. Juli 2012
Ever noticed when the "clever marketing ploy" of the photografically enhanced "coloboma" that might have resulted in the removal of the eye by the abductor was abandoned? Nowhere to be seen again, replaced by a pathetic yellow-green ribbon.

Schon wieder Hunde...
Deutsch/Englisch
Beide hätten wahrscheinlich den Träger vom Kinderclub her gekannt. Panikartiger Rückzug, wieder in das Gärtchen vor 5A.
So viel Pech gehört verboten. Dem Träger war sicher hundeelend...
--------------------------------------------------------
Dogs yet again...
Yes I know, the word "dog" is not appreciated in certain circles and "snifferdogs" is definitely not politically correct. We all know that Eddie and Keela were incredibly reliable. Or was it unreliable? I will have to consult Gerry again...
In any case, until now Timmy, Sacha, Kolly, Oscar, Rusco and Rex have been criminally neglected. The portuguese sniffer dogs who had been busy at work on the early morning of the 4th May probably feel like unloved relatives overshadowed by the great Eddie and the excellent Keela. Therefore I felt they needed their own chapter.
Especially Timmy did his breed some credit when he was presented at 23:00 on the 4th May in front of apartment 5A with a bath towel belonging to Madeleine. Starting at the entrance to 5A he sniffed out the following path: (see above)
At the only streetlamp placed in that carpark he sniffed more attentively, turned around and went back the way he had come.
I had previously suspected that the walk to the beach had been originally planned along the "shortcut" to the creche, following little dark lanes. Carrying a sleeping child would not have been unusual on that route. But the carrier apparently stopped his walk exactly at the lantern. Possibly because up on the balcony of 4G the families of Rajinder Balu and Neill Berry were dining together. Both might have recognised the carrier from earlier encounters at the kid's club. Panic, Retreat, back to the little gardin in front of 5A.
So much bad luck should be forbidden. The carrier was surely feeling sick as a dog...

EXCLUSIVE - 195 Leads revealed!!!
An independent investigation team consisting of an undisclosed number
of case file analysts and interpreters, working for a pat on the back,
have compiled what must surely be resembling much of the as yet
undisclosed list of 195 leads painstakingly produced from a mass of
evidence by the Scotland Yard investigation team. After a careful review of all the evidence from the Portuguese police files and of course omitting spurious sightings, reports from mediums and clairvoyants, we finally came to the same conclusion as the highly paid SY team in that there is a 110% probability that Madeleine is either dead or alive, each possibility ranging around the 50% marker. We can also confirm that the theory of the parents' involvement is as much a conspiracy theory as the following list. We are convinced that the person who took Madeleine from the apartment, as seen by an Irish family of 7, is a criminal and should be treated as such. ASAP!
We therefore demand that the Portuguese plods pick up the investigation again where they dropped it in 2008 and start to investigate each of the 195 leads as regards to their possible significance. Or else campaigns will be started to urge people to refrain from ever listening to Fado again.

SMITH SIGHTING | |||||
| 31 | A family of 7 encounter a man carrying a child while going home from a pub at 22:00 on May 3rd. | ||||
| 32 | The child is of Madeleine's age and height and resembles Madeleine | ||||
| 33 | The man is of the same height, has the same hair and general appearance of Gerry McCann | ||||
| 34 | Mr Smith is 60-80 % certain that the person they saw was Gerry McCann | ||||
| 35 | Aoife Smith describes the pants of the man as having buttons as ornaments | ||||
| 36 | Gerry McCann is photographed once as owning such pants | ||||
| 37 | The time of the encounter is the exact same time as the alleged detection of the disappearance although latter is not corroborated by independent witnesses | ||||
| 38 | The sighting - although reported once in an irish paper - is never picked up by british media or the McCanns although it would have been the best confirmation for an abduction. | ||||
| 39 | Only two years later the Smith sighting becomes part of their "documentary" although the key points get changed to fit the Tanner sighting | ||||
| 40 | Pressure put on the PJ to highlight the Tanner sighting came at exactly the same time as the Smith family were being brought back to Portugal to go over the sighting in more detail | ||||
| 41 | The sighting was in a different part of town from the Tanner sighting | ||||
| 42 | The carrying style was completely different to that of the Tanner sighting | ||||
| 43 | The man was heading in a completely different direction from the Tanner sighting | ||||
| 44 | There was a time difference of 45 minutes between both sightings | ||||
| 45 | Goncalo Amaral was removed from the case just when he tried to get the Smiths to Portugal again | ||||
| 46 | Brian Kennedy contacted the Smiths to get them to take part in creating a photofit. | ||||
| 47 | No innocent person ever came forward regarding the sighting | ||||
| 48 | The child was carried without a blanket despite the cold night | ||||
JANE TANNER SIGHTING |
|||||
| 49 | Regarding the sighting by Jane Tanner of the abductor none of the scent tracking dogs followed the trail indicated by Jane, but different routes | ||||
| 50 | Jeremy Wilkins (independent witness) failed to spot the abductor, despite being only yards away, while chatting to Gerry | ||||
| 51 | Jeremy Wilkins (independent witness) failed to see Jane Tanner walking by, despite being on the same narrow sidewalk at the same time | ||||
| 52 | Gerry McCann failed to spot the abductor, despite being only yards away, while chatting to Jeremy | ||||
| 53 | Gerry contradicted Jeremy by stating that their chat was on the opposite side of and about 30 yards down the road from that as described, and drawn on a map, by Mr Wilkins | ||||
| 54 | Gerry also contradicted Tanner, by stating that his chat with Jeremy was on the opposite side of and about 30 yards down the road from that mentioned by Jane | ||||
| 55 | Jane failed to spot the open window and shutters at Madeleine's bedroom while walking to her apartment at ~21.15 | ||||
| 56 | Jane failed to spot the open window and shutters at Madeleine's bedroom while walking from her apartment at ~21.20 | ||||
| 57 | Jane never bumped into Jeremy Wilkins (who had walked back to his apartment after the chat with Gerry) while walking back from her apartment at ~21.20 | ||||
| 58 | Russell O'Brien failed to spot the open window and shutters at Madeleine's bedroom while walking to his apartment at ~21.30 | ||||
| 59 | Matthew Oldfield failed to spot the open window and shutters at Madeleine's bedroom while walking to his apartment, which was right next door, at ~21.30 | ||||
| 60 | Matthew failed to spot the open window and shutters at Madeleine's bedroom while walking back from his apartment back to check on the McCann children | ||||
| 61 | Matthew failed to spot the open window and shutters while checking on Madeleine and the twins | ||||
| 62 | Jane failed to spot the open window and shutters at Madeleine's bedroom while walking to her apartment at ~21.45 | ||||
| 63 | Russell failed to spot the open window and shutters at Madeleine's bedroom while walking back from his apartment at ~21.50 | ||||
| 64 | Tanner's description of the abductor has changed several times | ||||
| 65 | Tanner's description of the pyjama's worn by the child has improved with time | ||||
| 66 | Gerry did not hear the raising of the shutters by the abductor while standing in the street with Wilkins | ||||
| 67 | Jeremy Wilkins did not hear the raising of the shutters by the abductor while standing in the street with Gerry | ||||
| 68 | The abductor failed to hear either Tanner, Gerry or Wilkins, and continued on the path that would put him in the full vision of all three | ||||
| 69 | If the abductor had lifted Madeleine out of the bed, then he would be carrying her with her head to his right hand side, not on the left as in Tanner's claimed sighting | ||||
| 70 | Although Gerry checked all rooms in the apartment during his check he did not spot the hiding abductor | ||||
| 71 | The abductor did not raise the shutters while Gerry was inside the apartment | ||||
| 72 | Jane was not only not seen by Gerry and Jeremy but also not heard although she was wearing flip-flops | ||||
| 73 | Nobody ever mentioned the cars in the road but independent witnesses spoke of at least 2 cars parked close to the pavement where Gerry and Jez were standing, narrowing Jane's path so much that it was impossible she was not noticed by the two men. | ||||
| 74 | Jane does not inform the parents of her sighting immediately. Only some of the friends | ||||
| 75 | Although the friends know of her sighting their searches are directed in the opposite direction of where the abductor headed to. | ||||
GEORGE BROOKS SIGHTING |
|||||
| 76 | A George Brooks saw a couple at 5:55 on the morning of May 4th on his way between Lagos and Praia da Luz | ||||
| 77 | The man was carrying a child | ||||
| 78 | At this time the McCanns had left the apartment and were somewhere in the vicinity of Praia da Luz | ||||
| 79 | They had left the apartment around 5:00 when the police and all search groups had left the area | ||||
| 80 | They were never asked where exactly they had gone | ||||
| 81 | Kate claimed in her book they "resumed" their search that early morning although they never went searching the night before | ||||
| 82 | The night before Gerry was overheard on his mobile talking about a gang of paedophiles having abducted Madeleine | ||||
| 83 | The next day around 9:30 Kate claimed in a conversation with Yvonne Martin, a social worker, that Madeleine had been abducted by a childless couple | ||||
LAST TIME SEEN |
|||||
| 84 | In their statements the friends of the McCanns have difficulty to pinpoint the last time they saw Madeleine | ||||
| 85 | Dianne Webster, whose statements are the only consistent ones, states she saw Madeleine on the 2nd May for the last time. | ||||
| 86 | Kate McCann claims in her book that the 2nd May was the last happy day as a family of four. What about the 3rd? | ||||
| 87 | The creche sheets are a mess, partly filled out by the nannies in retrospect, partly not at all. No credible evidence for the whereabouts of Madeleine | ||||
| 88 | There are no reports about the creche activity in Madeleine's group for the afternoon of May 3rd | ||||
| 89 | There are strong discrepancies regarding the morning activity of sailing undertaken by the creche | ||||
| 90 | The nanny does not remember if she accompanied 5 (without Madeleine) or 6 (with Madeleine) children to the beach that morning | ||||
| 91 | Whereas her first recollections are vague they improve one year later when she recollects an incident on one of the boats where Madeleine was crying. | ||||
| 92 | The nanny could only have entered a boat with Madeleine by leaving 3 remaining children alone on the beach | ||||
| 93 | Initially some of the friends claimed that Madeleine had taken part in the children's tennis on the morning of the 3rd | ||||
| 94 | Madeleine and Ella were allegedly sailing while their parents and friends watched unknown children playing tennis on the court | ||||
| 95 | Kate went back to the apartment on Tuesday to fetch her camera for the tennis court photo of Madeleine but never bothered to even watch her sailing | ||||
| 96 | Even in 2008 Rachael Oldfield still claimed that Madeleine had been at the tennis on the morning of the 3rd | ||||
| 97 | While Jane claims to have seen Madeleine at the sailing, Kate now states in her book that Fiona was unsure wether Madeleine had been at the sailing | ||||
CHANGES IN ROUTINE | |||||
| 98 | Changes in the holiday routine mark May 3rd as a special day | ||||
| 99 | While the McCanns claimed they had only ever attended breakfast once on the Sunday, six employees of the Millenium restaurant stated that they had attended regularly. Did they skip breakfast only on the 3rd? | ||||
| 100 | Lunch was usually taken in the Payne's apartment with the whole group, but not on May 3rd | ||||
