All in the Family

This was Clarence Mitchell talking to the Press shortly after Martin Brunt had stalked and outed her on live TV, while the DailyMail shortly afterwards gave her real name away splitting the outing to avoid repercussion.

After her horrible and lonely death we find out via a radio interview of the Metropolitan Police Commissioner Sir Bernhard Hogan-Howe that it was the family who gave the Dossier to the Police, either to BHH himself as Martin Brunt claimed, or to Operation Grange, although a complaint to the local police of Leicestershire would have been the logic choice.

Interviewer: So tell me about that file that was handed to you re. at the McCanns, you know, concerned individuals and certainly that story has been in the headlines with tragic consequences...yesterday. A file handed to you? Are you looking at it at the minute?

BHH - no what happened, well first of all, you may have seen over the last 10 days we've launched a cyber crime unit, about 500 officers. Thats really intended to target people who steal things, not necessarily bullying , I think that's going to be a real challange to us in the future just in terms of volume.

But in terms of that file, what happened if you recall was that the family handed to our team who are investigating or reviewing the murder of... sorry errm reviewing the missing girl errm the McCann daughter. The file was handed to that team and we were liasing with Leicestershire police which is where the McCann family live..... and as suddenly it turned out possibly the person who was trolling or abusing people may well have been.

So the file was in the process of being considered partly by the Met, partly by Leicestershire police but it was likely to have been dealt with by Leicestershire police and not by the Met.

The question remains who gave the "dossier" to the media, but if one discounts the leaking of such uninteresting material by the Police then there remains only one possibility...

IMO this concerted campaign to shut up those on the internet that still after 7 years are very vocal in questioning the McCanns and their version of events started with the book by Summers & Swan, which prepared the way with their constant reference to "haters" of the parents combined with the claim of authority on the "definite account" of what happened in Praia da Luz in 2007.

The supporter group had been hording information on the "dissenters" for a long time and after Summers and Swan claimed that trolls and haters had led a campaign to discredit their book on amazon.co.uk with unjustified reviews, and when @sweepyface (Brenda Leyland) was linked to one of those negative reviews the way was clear. She, one of the more moderate dissenters, was to be the first EXAMPLE to be outed and presented to the world as a troll, soon to be followed by those that actually used veiled threats against the parents. Her "crime" was that she had written a review on Amazon and lived in Leicester.

Only that the whole campaign to finally shut up those questioning the McCanns failed not only to coincide with Scotland Yard giving up the case as impossible to solve, but also because the first victim of the campaign dared to kill herself. (Pending coroner's verdict)

And so Gerry now refuses to talk about "trolls"

Asked whether they felt it was right for the media to identify internet trolls, 46-year-old Mr McCann replied: ‘I don't really want to talk about trolls, we're here very much to talk about child rescue.’

Of course he is... And enjoying himself on a charity do, where he was sure to run into Hugh Grant and was able to discuss the advantages of sending in the Press when need be.All in the spirit of the #HackedOff campaign.

For those of you who really want to get to the bottom of the news and want to decide for themselves if Brenda Leyland did anything that constituted an offence (either by racism or threats) , feel free to check yourself in her "tweet-file".

And Gerry said:"Let there be an example.."

....and there was an example

Rest in Peace sweepyface and rest assured that the intimidation campaign against those that dare to question the McCanns will not be successful.

Your "crime" was a tweet that called for the McCanns to suffer "for the rest of their miserable lives "
The same "crime" Kate McCann committed in her book when talking about Goncalo Amaral, saying "he deserves to be miserable and feel fear".

Don't judge a book by it's cover

No, I am not going to dwell again on the impossibility of the "last photo" being taken on Thursday 3rd of May. I am not going to mention the difficulty of losing ones hard earned tan within hours or gaining the same on a rainy day. Not on the tantrums little girls can throw when they are not going to get to wear their new dresses until the 6th day of their holiday or the meteorological facts in the western Algarve in May 2007.

Instead I am going to start with those things that are NOT in the book. A book with the claim of being the "most definite account possible" should cover all aspects of the case. One would think....

The first thing you notice missing is the word "NEGLECT". It appears only once in connection with a person who had the audacity to ask that the parents be investigated by Leicestershire police for child neglect. Something that would be normal had Maddie gone missing in the UK. Nine adults, leaving eight children, aged from 1-3, on five consecutive nights alone in apartments outside a confined resort without proper supervision, with at least one child crying on one night for at least 75 minutes (1 hour and 15 minutes) should be challenged by investigative authors about their parental conscience. At least once.

The next thing that is missing is everything surrounding the person of David Payne that might in any way be deemed libelous although it is part of the police files the summerswaning couple are so eager to cite, albeit, I fear, from translations they appear to use from unpaid authors firmly placed in the nutter box by the almost-Pulitzer-Winners... still unpaid, but used...

Neither the statements by Mr. and Mrs. Gaspar about an alleged incident in Mallorca on a previous holiday is mentioned, nor the alleged recognition of David Payne by Yvonne Martin, nor is the incident properly described where David Payne visits Kate McCann in/out of the apartment on May 3rd at 17:00/17:30/19:00 with/without his wife and with/without Gerry being present. Would the vision of Kate wrapped in a towel after her shower have distracted Anthony, the old rascal?

Also prominently missing is every statement from the police files that contradicts the version of the parents. Like the statement by the cleaner of the Ocean Club who was very certain that one of the cots had been placed in the parent's bedroom and NOT in the children's bedroom as the authors/parents claimed. Nor the statement of the Ocean Club receptionist who claims the reservation for the Tapas Bar was made by a man who was accompanied by a child that she thought had been Madeleine.

Missing is also the clear fact that after prolonged discussions there are emails in the files by all friends of the McCanns clearly rejecting the participation in the proposed reconstruction. The authors simply claim that the Public Prosecutor had given up on the notion of a reconstruction without mentioning their clear refusal.

And it goes on. The many inconsistencies in their statements like the point of entry/exit, the curtains, how they left Madeleine, who she claimed had cried the night of Wednesday - all brushed away with one declaration that everybody that has to deal with statements including the acclaimed authors KNOWS that statements are notoriously fallible. Oh well, that revelation will revolutionise the judicial system.

But what I found even worse than the many omissions that would be necessary to give an unbiased and independent account of the disappearance of a little girl are the slight twists of the evidence at hand. Deliberate little "amendmends to the truth" that might fool those that haven't spent months of real research of the files.

An example regarding the search Eddie the cadaver dog did on the items taken from the villa of the parents:

"When these items were taken to another location for examination, the dog Eddie alerted to clothing in one of the boxes. Again, Grime thought it possible that the cadaver dog was reacting to cadaver scent contamination."
Eddie did not react to the clothing IN "one of the boxes ". He reacted to Kate's white top and checkered trousers and one t-shirt of Madeleine that had been laid out on the floor together with the rest of the contents of that box. By saying he reacted to clothing IN the box and not to clothing FROM the box it is insinuated that this scent might have resulted from some sort of transferance, which could not have been the case since it was only three explicit items from the box he reacted to. Had transference been the cause every item would have rendered an alert.

Another example of twisting the evidence comes from the description of the already mentioned visit by David Payne in 5A:

"David, who had stopped by the McCanns' apartment earlier, said as he sat down that Madeleine and the twins had "looked like perfect children ... all clean in their pyjamas, having a story""

Now this quote does not come from any statement by David Payne but rather from the statement by Fiona Payne, his wife. His comment had run like this:
The three children were all you know dressed you know in their pyjamas, you know they looked immaculate, you know they were just like angels, they all looked so happy and well looked after and content and I said to Kate, you know it's a bit early for the you know, for the three of them to be going to bed, she said ah they've had such a great time, they're really tired and you know err so I say, you know I can't remember exactly what, what you know the night attire, what the children were wearing but white was the predominant err colour
Why was David's recollection not allowed to enter the most definite account possible? Why had Fiona's statement to be used? One explanation could be the mention of the colour white in the pyjamas which was the colour Aoife Smith remembered instead of the predominantly pink with floral aspects that was presented to the world.

One last example is at least questionable regarding its origin. With the sighting by George Brooks of a couple carrying a child on the early morning of May 4th we don't see any evidence that the authors have actually spoken to George. They refer more than once to the files and not to a personal interview with him. Nevertheless we find an exact description of the said couple whereby the man has a remarkable similarity whith the man Jane Tanner allegedly saw the night before thought to be the abductor for almost 7 years:

"...Brooks said, he thought the couple were both in their thirties. The man was "less than 6 foot tall", had "shoulder-length hair and looked quite tanned". The woman was "dark-haired and slim". To him, they did not look British, or like tourists."
This description is nowhere to be found in the files. It is simply copied and pasted from a Daily Express article from May 7th as if it was gospel truth...

I could go on dissecting the most definite account possible but since it's world-wide distribution looks to be only marginal, it would be time wasted. The notion is clear. The almost sickening repetition of the mantra that there is not a shred of evidence against the parents had to brush over the fact that indeed there are plenty of indications and possible circumstantial evidence that at least raise legitimate doubt.

Lisbon Appellate Court’s decision - 2010

The book at stake in this process – "Maddie – the Truth of the Lie" – which was written by the defendant Dr. Gonçalo Amaral, has the main motivation of defending his personal and professional honour, as the author points out right away in the preface and throughout his text.

The contents of the book does not offend any of the applicants' fundamental rights.

The exercise of its writing and publication is included in the constitutional rights that are secured to everyone by the European Convention on Human Rights and by the Portuguese Republic’s Constitution, namely in its articles 37º and 38º.

Going through the motions

My take on the Arguidos and the alleged evidence based on the report by Marisa Rodrigues from JN to which I would like to express a very special thanks for a professional reporting.

1. S.M.

1.1. The sofa

The alleged similarity between hairs found on the discarded sofa and in Apartment 5A is only theoretical. Since no DNA had been obtained in 2007 from S.M. the only comparison that could be done in the Lisbon lab was to extract and analyse the MtDNA from the hairs and place them in the relevant Haplotype groups.

Haplotype X - apart. Ocean Club e sofa of 1-seat in the garage in Portimao
Haplotype Y - apart. Ocean Club e sofa of 1-seat in the garage in Portimao
Haplotype Z - Residencia Liliana e sofa of 1-seat in the garage in Portimao

But since there are only a certain number of haplotypes it is of absolute no relevance if the same haplotype is found in two different spots.

There was also a similarity of hairs in a completely unrelated apartment in Burgau and Apartment 5A. And if my hair was tested I am sure my haplotype would fit one of the hairs found in 5A as well.
1.2. The hearsay

The statement concerning the alleged overheard conversation regarding a body that had to be disposed of was neither made to the PJ nor is it part of the original rogatory process and can therefore only have been made to one of the McCann's private investigators. How much credibility does this have if it was the then suspects PI's that "unearthed" this statement? The credibility of Metodo 3 (and I suspect it was them) has been at it's height when they promised Maddie to be back by Christmas and has since lost considerably...

1.3. The arson

This was a crime directed at the Arguido, the burning of his car and the framing of him. Wouldn't it be a good idea to try and find out who did it and why, instead of turning the victim of a crime into a suspect of another crime because he had been a victim in the first place?
Do we have to point out that this crime was committed during the reign of Metodo 3?

2. J.S. ("recently diagnosed with a brain tumour. He didn't follow his doctor and his lawyer advice and decided to speak up to refute the accusations.")

2.1 The burglarizer

In the list of employees of the Ocean Club there is the word "furto" attached to the Arguido's name, written by the PJ investigation which means "theft". But so it is with 2 other persons that are not being targeted by Scotland Yard. Of course it is normal that people that have been charged previously with some kind of offence should be investigated, but this had obviously been done by the PJ who came up with no connection. We should not forget that NOTHING was taken from 5A exept the body of a little girl.

2.2 The phonecalls

The only phonecall relating to J.S. in the released PJ files is to the number allegedly belonging to R.R. at 21:51. Nothing else.

2.4. The residence

J.S. lives on Rua Primero do Maio. The Smith sighting was in Rua 25 de Abril roughly 350 metre away, in no way a suspicious distance in such a small town if you live in the centre and not in some ex-pat area.

2.5. The e-fit

The person who allegedly helped to draw up this e-fit was 60-80% convinced that it had been Gerry McCann who he had seen. The fact that the e-fit had been hidden by the McCanns for years and the sighting covered-up weighs heavy against the possible similarity of somebody's face to an e-fit done by private investigators of the then suspects.

3. P.R.
Acting strangely might be excused when you are suffering from schizophrenia. Apart from that we have the same MO of the then accused's PI's contacting witnesses and getting e-fits done. Not in any way an independent source. Phonecalls are not in the files

4. R.R.
Having been only 16 years at the time of the "disappearance" he is supposed to fit the description of a witness who described a man 18-20 years of age as being a charity collector, which in itself is not a crime, at least not outside the Metodo world.
This and the one phonecall that can be found in the files should be sufficient to drag this young man in front of the vicious british media? I think not.
The whole "request" is in my opinion copied straight from a report of Metodo 3 that Scotland Yard found in the boxes they collected from their offices during a raid in Barcelona some years ago.

Which leaves a couple of questions: Why was it approved by the Portuguese judiciary? And what was the purpose of this action? To prepare for shelving the case again, because no patsy will ever be found after this latest farce? Or to refute even the most ludicrous scenarios that entered the process when they were found inside the boxes of Metodo 3 and therefore have to be dealt with?

The wallet in the bush

From "madeleine" by Kate McCann:

By now we were more than familiar with
cases where evidence had been missed the first
time round and discovered on further searches (in
one instance the UK police had told us about,
a
wallet sitting in a bush). At this stage, I was also still
giving some credence to the information we were
receiving from psychics, some of whom were
suggesting that we should scour nearby territory
again.

The paths that research take are long and winding. I was looking at the time when Danie Krugel was called in to search for Madeleine with his "matter orientation" machine. A most crucial time in the story. The question has never been successfully answered as to why two scientific people who requested professional expertise in all matters involved, such as the reliability of sniffer dogs, would ask a man with his secret electronic wiggle stick to go hunting for their daughter let alone be guided by the well-meaning advice of "psychics".

Let us look at the time frame Krugel's visit took place in. He arrived on the 15th July at a time when the parents had not yet been made arguidos and Robert Murat had been the only official suspect in the case, due to a friend of Clarence Mitchell having a "strange feeling" about him, CEOP "profiling" him as a sociopath of the highest order and of course because four of the nine Tapasniks had visions of him being at the crime location.

During the four days following his arrival Krugel surveyed the area to the East of Praia da Luz including the stretch of land where Scotland Yard has recently performed their second ground investigation. This area lies along the main street connecting Lagos with Praia da Luz and would have been the route George Brooks had taken that morning on May 4th around 6 a.m. when in his headlights he saw a couple carrying a child scurrying into a side road. It is the same road along which Kate and Matt went for some jogging allegedly on Wednesday lunch time.

If we are to assume that Madeleine's body had been hidden since 4th May on this piece of land - 15 minute walking distance from 5A -  why would Krugel now be allowed to survey this area and give a report with his findings to the PJ? Who then might initiate a second search with dogs and might possibly find the body? In my opinion this would only make sense if the discovery of the body would also present a link to the abductor, an unmistakable fingerprint that had been overlooked during the first searches like the wallet in the bush. Or preferably like a cigarette butt with the DNA of its owner...

But why then was no body discovered? Why no appropriate end to the sad saga? Let's hear Kate again:

Wednesday 18 July. The start of a downward spiral
for me. When I look back on our meeting with Neves
and Encarnação that day I recognize it as a turning
point: the beginning of what was to blow up into a
whole new nightmare...

The meeting ended with a final body blow. Danie
Krugel, on whom we had, irrationally, hung so much
hope, had produced a report for the PJ based on his
findings. His machine had recorded a ‘static signal’
from an area around the beach, close to or on the
Rocha Negra cliff. Although this included villas,
apartments and other buildings, the implication of
the ‘static signal’ was that Madeleine was most likely
to be dead and buried there.

Apparently everything was working according to plan, a "static signal" that Madeleine was most likely dead and buried in the area surrounding the Black Rock had been communicated by Krugel to the PJ. To this day Krugel is certain she had been in that area. Unfortunately there exists only a google maps image of a rather general area and no X that marks the spot.

But on the 18th of July, during this meeting with the PJ, the final body blow did not come from Krugel, but from a totally unexpected side. The PJ had requested the assistance of Mark Harrison and informed the parents during that meeting that Britain's best cadaver dogs were about to enter Portugal and would be searching Apartment 5A as well. Cadaver odour AND a body found in walking distance from the apartment might trump a cigarette butt, possibly overlooked again.

So the next day on 19th July their phones started pinging in the "Triangle" while they were sitting at the Bar Caribe with Trish, Sandy and the twins having a good time. The rest is history.

-----------------------

15/7 Krugel arrives
18/7 talks with PJ, info on upcoming arrival of Eddie and Keela
19/7 last day of Krugel's search - first phone pings in the "Triangle"
20/7 Mark Harrison arrives - McCanns make it to the top of the hill overlooking the area in 16 minute jogging
22/7 Gerry flies to Washington
26/7 Gerry comes back - second phone pings in the "Triangle"
27/7 third phone pings in the "Triangle"
28/7 fourth phone pings in the "Triangle"
29/7 Trish and Sandy leave PdL
30/7 Eddie and Keela arrive
31/7 searches in 5A
1/8 an alibi search of the above mentioned area was conducted within one hour

Presumption of Innocence

The parents killed her. British police are stupid.

I have been asked many times the question why I don't respect the presumption of innocence in this case, especially by people that know me and my usual respect for human rights. It is not easy to explain.

From the time the news broke in May 2007 until the release of the police files, I had been very much a fence-sitter trying mostly to shed some light onto the hundreds of conflicting news reports. At that time I even was posting under the name Impartial on the Mirror forum and 3As. I could see the discrepancies, the changes to their statements via the media but I could also see two people devastated by the loss of their daughter.

During these months I kept the presumption of innocence high. Even though suspicions became stronger by the day it was my private opinion that even if there had been a terrible accident and the parents had somehow felt the need to cover-up her death in order to avoid repercussions to their other children, the children in the group, their jobs and reputation it was up to the law to investigate, charge, judge and sentence those responsible for it.

This still would be my stance today had it all stopped there. Had there not been added crimes to the original crime. Additional crimes that would never get followed up if the original crime would not be solved.

The crime of fraud for one. Taking money from schoolchildren, old age pensioners and well-meaning mothers. And not to be invested into a fake search for the missing child but very explicitly invested into the build-up of a defense wall that would avoid the proper prosecution of the original crime. Cheating the course of law if you like.

But it was the crime of deliberately casting wrong suspicions on another person that then caused me to drop my caution and restraint. The way in which Robert Murat had been set up by four of the friends of the McCanns, how his life and that of his mother and fiance had been shredded to pieces only because he was "too" helpful, happened to live in the direction of Jane's concocted sighting and coincidentally was also the person to translate the important statements of Dianne Webster and the nannies was my breaking point. In order to get justice for this crime the first one would have to be cleared up. Otherwise there would never be evidence of this follow-up crime. Compensation money by a paper that had been a victim itself was not a substitute for good old proper justice.

Last but not least it was the parents' atrocious treatment of the one man who had committed himself to finding out what had happened to their daughter: Goncalo Amaral
The vicious, vindictive, hate-filled persecution and destruction of another good man was the last straw that changed my view about a highly cherished good, the presumption of innocence. The law is clear, and no mere mortal can change it, but on this blog it was cast aside after the evaluation of the evidence of the police files to express the desire for the truth to be revealed, to put a stop to the never-ending destruction of people and the creation of a parallel universe built on lies and deception.

The Dig 2.0

All around me I sense a drop in hope and trust. Based on the fact that a second location for digs has been chosen and that the MEDIA (accomplices in the crime of the century) have found a feeble thread to link one of the "suspects" to that area.

A WATER PLANT

Tractorman is supposed to have worked at a tiny water treatment shack somewhere in the scrublands of the western Algarve.

The Express has elaborated a bit more on the possible targets:

They are to concentrate on areas close to a water treatment sub- station, a derelict farmhouse and an abandoned well.

Ah a derelict farmhouse brings back memories of Aztec towels with blood and fibres:
The hunt for Madeleine McCann last night centred on a disused barn near Praia da Luz where police found a towel stained with what may turn out to be the little girl's blood.Fibres found on the towel allegedly match fibres from the hire car rented by Maddie's parents, Kate and Gerry McCann.Portuguese detectives discussed the breakthrough when they met British police and a Crown Prosecution Service official last week at a police station in Leicester.
But there is a second lead that might confirm the seriousness of tomorrow's dig. And it is noone else but Michael Wright who coincidentally went for a pizza:

As for additional information I would like to add that on Sunday, 6 May I went to the pizzaria in PdL and bought a large quantity of pizzas. I was attended by a girl from Liverpool. I explained to her my relationship to the McCanns and she told me that her father 'George' had seen a man carrying a child in his arms in the early morning of 4 May in the resort. I asked her if her father had spoken about this to the Portuguese authorities. I don't know if the information was ever investigated.
Sky was the first to broadcast it:
So George Brooks was on his way from Lagos to Praia da Luz on the morning of May 4th around 6 o'clock when it was still dark and the McCann couple had already left the Payne's apartment to do at least Kate's only physical search of her daughter.

The road George Brooks would have taken is exactly the road M537 along which the dig 2.0 is going to take place.

Two sightings of a man/couple carrying a child through Praia da Luz and two digs close to the areas these sightings occurred.

Forget about the water plant and do as the cultists do. Believe!!!

ETA:

Dom't get your expectations too high, this is just the search for the second possible hiding place. The third and final one only one or two people know.

Running commentary

A sentence from Pat Brown's latest blog has made me smile:
"We have heard via the press (and although this information can be questionable, the Portuguese press seems to agree FOR ONCE with the British press) that the scrubland area searched all last week was an area near to where at least one of the drug dealing suspects lived.
Any idea why this might be so? It is really simple if one has focused on the distribution of media spin ignoring most of its contents.

Clarence Mitchell has been firmly shut up by Scotland Yard with their latest instructions of the media.
No more "source close to the family"-nonsense or "friend of the family"-fairy tales. His days are over.

But it would not be the McCanns if they would simply give up. (Get a t-shirt with their motto here) They do have spent a lot of money for a PR agency in Portugal, Lift Consulting who have apparently taken over where Mitchell has left. The myth that all this is happening not because of 8 non-suspects who enjoyed some nights at the local tapas bar in 2007, but because of 8 burglars/drug traffickers has been transfered seemlessly from the UK to Portugal. Despite the more serious news outlets reiterating that the portuguese police is determined that the thesis is frankly rubbish.

Totally coincidentally Brendan de Beer has all the right sources, allegedly within the Portuguese police, those nasty plods who might endanger the whole operation by leaking information to the media. Well Scotland Yard might just pack up their equipment and leave, if the leaks are not stopped.

Never believe the media, always question the source. After 7 years we should know that.

Where is Jane?

During the recent Miles for Missing People charity run Kate was competing in the 10k run while Gerry and the twins entered the 3k competition. According to the entry list Kate was to be accompanied by such old friends as Rachel Oldfield and Jane Tanner for moral support and to show that all was well within the Tapas group. There are pictures of Rachel to prove that she gladly stood by her old friend although she would have lost sight of Kate rather quickly tailing behind.

But where was Jane? There is no picture of her at the start of the race and she did not make it to the finish line according to the list of results. Did she get lost on the way or was she not there at all? Was her name entered into the attendee's list, waisting precious ~ 20 pounds from the FUND to give the impression that she was still good friends with the couple or did she simply not turn up because of things more important like the annual Galway Flip-Flop run?.

I am afraid we will hardly ever know.

But what we have learned only recently is, that after Andy Redwood had exonerated her from the suspicion of being a mere liar and fantasist by producing the ever so elusive "Man who carried a child", she has been placed firmly back into the very position she so desperately wanted to leave. And unfortunately by the very people she so badly wanted to help that night in May 2007.

The recent docu drama, offered to Channel 5 by a BRIGHTON based independent film company served only two purposes apart from secretly reveiling that it was the possibility of satellite images of the ABDUCTOR during the night of May 3rd that allowed Kevin Halligen to cheat the McCanns out of at least half a million: To document that the "world's best intelligence people" never ever once suspected the parents themselves and to place Jane firmly back into her role as a fantasist who makes up stories as she flip-flops along.

The "docu" also showed that the very people she tried to help out got her taped during interviews and did not trust her at all to keep quiet. Imagine the moment Andy Redwood showed her the Omega Report and what it contained regarding herself. If she did not have second thoughts after she had to read in Kate's book yet another alleged phantasy attributed to her (that she saw Madeleine during the sailing on the morning of May 3rd) that would have certainly made her reevaluate her position in the chess game she had always been a pawn in.

Wherever she is, I wish her all the strength she can muster for the upcoming months and years and give her one thing: She is the only human being in the game.

The fraudulent fund

While we are waiting for Tito and Muzzy to sniff out the perpetrators please have a look at this excellent blog that has done a lot of research on the fund once set up by the News of the World and its' subsequent distribution when the NotW shut down (Amen)

Now Gerry, how does it feel whenScotland Yard is bringing in your biggest enemies?

Today they were somewhere else, involved in serious undercover work.

Maddie's Jammies

No I am not going to do another research on the infamous pyjamas. Maren from the Netherlands had done an absolutely amazing piece of research that leaves nothing to add:

I am just trying to make sense of the current, rather confusing situation we find ourselves in.

The digging that is soon to commence...

If they are serious about digging in the heart of Praia da Luz and if it is not purely a distraction exercise for the media, I wonder what they will be looking for.

The evidence in the hired car, the George Brooks sighting and common sense tells us that it can't be a body they are looking for, but it must be some item/s that had to be disposed of separate from the body. IMO there is only one thing that the Gerry-lookalike abductor took with him on his way to the beach and that were Madeleine's pyjamas. Those pyjamas we had endless discussions about and whole newspaper articles written about trying to confuse us whether they were Eeyore or Barbie, white or pink, long-sleeved or short-sleeved...

The reason for the change of the description of the pyjamas which the BBC proudly claimed to have initiated, might have been the description of the pyjamas the Smiths saw on the girl that had been taken towards the beach by a man resembling Gerry McCann. It might have been of utter importance to cover-up the Smith sighting and any resemblance with Maddie.

After the Eeyore pyjamas had been presented to the whole world it then would of course have been equally important that her body should never be found in her real pyjamas because that would expose a lie of enormous proportions. So body and pyjama would most likey have been separated at some stage.

Could this be the reason for the digs soon to commence? Not for a body but for the pyjamas? Their colour, make and sleeves would tell their own story.

I do remember Andy Redwood issuing the words: “We know the pyjamas their child was wearing…"

ETA:
While we are speaking a BRIGHTON film company have offered a programme to Channel 5 to be aired next Wednesday about the "McCanns and the Conman". Unfortunately the conman is not coming from Brighton.
